That is an awesome encounter and story!
About 9 years ago I was hunting a lease in Tilden. They had seen a cat recently and I went out to bow hunt by myself one evening. I had just shot a doe and she only went about 30/40 yards and fell over. I wanted to get her loaded up before dark and got out of the blind. The wind shifted and every hair on my neck stood up straight. I had a VERY UNEASY feeling that I was being watched. I still don't know if the lion was in the area but it was a different feeling then I have ever had. I can still remember it very clearly. Would love to encounter a lion in other circumstances.
