Getting ready

OP, I used to be the same way. Now with a family of my own, and demanding shift work schedule, I don’t get the time to enjoy preparation anymore. It’s more of a rush trying to get things ready for the season. Other things like kids activities have made me realize I like doing the Dad thing as much or more as prepping for hunting. Although, my son loves to hunt and killed his first deer last year, so maybe preparation and whatnot will become more exciting for me in the future.

When I was a younger guy I had no time to piddle with stuff. Our kids are grown and taking care of their kids. I have plenty of time now.

Good deal, once mine are grown and on their own I’ll probably be in your shoes but I’m in no hurry lol. Good luck this season.
