When I taught archery (NASP) I had kids like that and usually set 'em up left handed(for various reasons). I say let him try it. The mechanics will be difficult at first but I usually found that when they stuck with it they usually preferred the switch. What's the worst that could happen? You might have a right handed kids bow to sell.

Let them learn to shoot left.
This is my experience from being RH, left eyed
And raising one child with same.

His teacher told him to just shoot right handed, since that's what he's been doing. I tried to convince him to try left, but neither seemed interested.

I am left eye dominant and shoot right handed. I learned early I had to keep both eyes open for it to work. Not the best shot in the world but I can knock a Teal down doing mock 4. Depends what day it is with dove.
