        P Tech certainly helps, experience has gotten many in with no P Tech, and quiet a few hired with various other degrees. Just wanted to change careers. I had no family at Marathon. But, a good cook is important

          Depends where you work. Our refinery starts at $31.22 with no experience. You top out in three years. $44.82 2019 top scale. 4/1/2020 $46.39 , 4/1/21 $48.25. (Board operator wages)

          Plus $1.50 hr extra on nights. 2.5 pay on holidays. Anything besides regular shift is 1.5 pay.

          Raises in-between at 6 month and one year intervals. Plus 401K, insurance, pension, and bonuses.
          Having that pension is worth a couple bucks an hour in itself.
