I've had them for several years. Strongly suggest going to an audiologist as opposed to some guy who just dispenses them at some shop. First several pair were completely in the canal but it always felt like my ears were plugged and sounds were muffiled. Finally went to a doctor of audiology and got the ones with the little clear wires and the unit behind the ear. Much, much better. Still don't like them but I don't like getting old either but that is the way it goes. Shop around. Some places will really rip you off if you allow them to.

My hearing is going as well and will eventually need hearing aids. My wife has great hearing so the TV volume was always an issue. We turned on CC and both of us are amazed at what we were missing. I leave it on everything, even shows that I can hear are better served with CC. Now my only complaint is when CC does not match the sound.

I actually think CC helps your mind along as your hearing is going. I have noticed I understand more on work calls with many different people than in the past, etc. I know this is not hearing aid related just an observation on CC as it relates to the topic.

The old 'what did they say' is no longer thrown around our living room all the time!!

        $1,500.00. Satisfied so far.

          Yes, Pretty sure you do.
Would just add another $50.00 to the cost????

Same problem with me. Been to hearing specialist, testing done, but nothing can help.

our HR lady is deaf as a rock, constantly have to repeat yourself. I don't know why we even close the door anymore to have conversations, lol. everyone on that end of the office can hear us both. we joke around the office we are going to take up a collection and buy her some hearing aids. its frustrating

On my third pair in the last 15 years. Got mine through the Department of Rehabilitative Services, now part of Texas Workforce Commission, needed them in order to be able to work. All three sets have been Oticon top of the line model, latest are BlueTooth capable with my Iphone. Don't know what I will do when I retire and need new ones.

Forgot to say that they did not go bad or break, I was eligible for new ones about every four years.

Just a thought, maybe go get a hearing test and talk with a doctor that knows ears.

Mine are going out at 37 years old already. Directly attributed to shooting with no protection in my earlier years. I used to love the sound of the gun and the concussion hitting me in my face. Thought I was invincible. Paying for all that invisibility now.
