You talking about Leon’s in Rockne? I haven’t been there in about 20 years. My dad had land in red rock and we used go there often. First place I ever had calf fries. If it’s still there I need to go back.

Just some of our haunts. We usually look for neon whenever we backroad to find the old gems.

Leons is still there. Cash only and be sure to bring your ID. I've been there more times than a man should and still get carded every time.

Rattlesnake Inn off 195 southeast of Florence before it burned down a few years back.

Is George's in Waco a beer joint? I really liked it.

Is Henry’s hideout in magnolia still open?
G’s? Whoa. Better not try to rob em, Gene had a machine gun behind the counter, especially on check cashing days😳

No. That's a bar and grill. One of the best.

                                Lazy J Bar near Vienna

I used to hunt outside of Hallettsville. An old(er) friend of mine knew about it, but did not know it was cash only. We show up with no cash. The locals did not let us leave until we had a couple beers each. Some of the nicest people in that area.
