Thats why we need to high fence east texas j/k. As an East Texas native I'm also glad to see that if they were going to take something (which is illegal) it was the meat and not the antlers.
What part or E.tx was this in?

Wow that just sucks! How horrible. I can't believe some people would do a thing like this. I mean, leaving perfectly good antlers just laying around! What is this world coming to?

I never understood that law. The animal is going to waste.
" you can't pick a deer up you hit with a car"
Do they really think people will hit them on purpose?

when i lived in beorne i would see a dead deer on the side of the road daily. i can't tell you how many poor mexican laboers working out there i've seen pick them up to feed their familes.

i know it is illegal but maybe these folks called it in and the GW said it was ok to salvage what they could....doubt anyone took out their car for a foot of prime backstrap

actually crossed my mind johnny, but when i picked up his head he had already dropped one side, so i guess he was technically a 4 point. guess it could have made a cool euro mount.

I guess I'm a good East Texan because I hate to see the meat go to waste! They should have gotten the whole thing! I don't because I know it's against the law, but it shouldn't be.

If they're willing to risk the law, by taking meat, because they're hungry ... why not take the whole deer and have more than 2 meals?

I doubt this was a "hunter" but it still sheds a negative light on us through the eyes of an anti!
