    If u want a 45 foot control 55lb 12v I just got a brand new edge I will let go of. I've had it like 2 months. I'm wanting a 24v 70 45in shaft one now.

I’ve got the 80# terrors and love it. Just used the heck out of it sight casting to redfish, it has plenty of power to move my 23’ cat into the wind with ease

Depends on how you fish? If you fish open water stuff steering with a remote is fine. I fish a lot of timber and having to use a remote control is a pain. I like the Ultrex for the foot pedal and I use the remote to jog around some. I had 12v On my 17.5' bass tracker ages ago. 45" shaft is all you will need on an aluminum bass boat. That said if you have room for another battery you won't be upset buying a 24v motor.

Any ideas which trolling motor brand will communicate with Hummingbird for the waypoint stuff. I just got the hummingbird on the boat and I'm starting to look at a new trolling motor

I put a 36v 112# Ulterra on our boat and can't believe I've gone so long without one. For your boat I'd recommend a 24 volt.

              Minn kota.

Motorguide does have a universal sonar connections but that isn't what you are interested in.

Thanks, but I think the Edge is what my boat came stock with.

I've got a 1648 G3. I put a 54" shafted 12v 55lb Terrova with I-Pilot link on it (2nd Gen I-Pilot). I don't have to bend as far over to grab the head when I pull the shaft up. Shaft depth is controlled by a collar just like any other MK. Saves on my poor back. And the 55lbs is all this boat really needs. I've never run out of battery yet. Plus I didn't want to add more weight to the rig with another battery for a 24v system.

Fixing to buy one also. How many of y'all use the link to your hummingbird or do you just use the spot lock most of the time? Do any of y'all use a foot pedal with your I-pilots.

This is one of the issues I have with making a decision on the right one for me..., but I'm starting to lean towards the Link, and Ulterra. Reason: for a few hundred dollars more, I can get the self deploy/trim and have the Mega DI built into the trolling motor in case I wanna add a bow unit later. For now, I'm thinking about just utilizing my main Bird to link with the Ulterra Link..., but then again, I'm still thinking before I make a big purchase...

I like the idea of saving ~$500 with buying the Terrova Ipilot Ilink. I wouldn't mind the longer 55" shaft, but from what I can see, If I get the Mega DI built in, I either have to get the 45"/24V/80lb thrust or the 60" (too long).
I've read Some reviews of the Ulterra having issues deploying etc. The above mentioned Terrova would be fine without possible issues.
Has anyone had experience with the ulterra vs ultrex vs terrova? How are the foot controls compared? Whats the best bang for the buck?

If you like running a foot pedal the Ultrex is the only one I would consider. None of them are very durable. A Fortrex will last you a lifetime but doesn't have spot lock!
