As was stated on the other thread no bbq joints use pellet smokers. There's a reason for that.

      **** hipsters.

Nobody was asking what ya thought about them, this thread was about people that do have them, and how they like them. Go troll elsewhere

I have the small RT340 Trailblazer and it's awesome. I have a small family and we mainly use it for grilling. The quality and craftsmanship blow the competitors away.

Do you wrap in butcher paper or no wrap?

I didn’t make that brisket. My muddy fuzzy did. I know a lot that do wrap with paper. I’ve never tried it.

My intention was not to wrap but I got pressed for time and after 10 hrs I wrapped it in foil at an internal of about 167. Finished it at 200 for just at a 14 hr cool.

I’m looking at this model as I mostly cook just for myself and the girlfriend. Any complaints so far? I live in Galveston and am worried about the rust. I know most of it is stainless.

                      Lol.

Look at the post ol boy quoted when he got all butthurt. Nothing negative in it. You and I were just having a conversation.

The other thread had plenty of anti--pellet grill comments. No one got all butthurt or cried.

I actually know of a BBQ joint that has recently been in Texas Monthly and he uses a traeger pellet smoker as some of his equipment.

Do yall think the 700 is over kill just for family of 4? Is the 590 big enough?

I have the RT-700 for my family of four and it's perfect. Not too big, but big enough to smoke a bunch of meat if you have a party or a bunch of guests over for food. I did two pork butts and three briskets at once and everything came out great. I still have a bunch of that meat in the freezer.

IIRC, I got the Gold Package. No regrets. I just hope the next time I move, the movers can get it to the next home without any damage.
