Not trying to be Debbie downer. You’ve got an awesome rig, and I bet you do very well. Just trying to cover all bases before you learn the hard way. I almost learned the hard way a bit over a year ago. Luckily they caught me on the return trip, and he wrote me warnings. If he’d have caught me on the first leg I’d still be paying on that ticket. Better get your CDL and DOT stickers on that thing.

That fine is around $2300 without them. Don’t ask how I know.

Have a sign shop put your DOT #s on a big magnet so you can take it off when not in use.

You can get up to 5 figure fines in a hurry, and they start around $2K. DOT doesn't play around and some LE don't give warnings.

What convinced you to do all of this with brand spanking new equipment? Why not a 2-3yr old truck and used trailer? Or for that matter, a 10yr old truck and trailer?

We were out of DOT regs. Had no clue. Thanks to Dale we now know and potentiality saved lives or at least fines!
