I bet the city/supervisor would be interested in the fact that she is using her Facebook for business. That's a sure way to get fired at my work.
It wasn’t her account. It was a fake looking account with the name “Christi nueces”. There was no official ties with the city with the Facebook account they used to contact me. Weird. I thought it was just a scammer at first.
It wouldn't matter if it were free (which it is free). I said we wouldn't charge, and the officer said it was irrelevant. It was an issue of salsa "being available" to the public.
How is it any different than Halloween candy "being available" on your doorstep? Maybe the fact that it's individually wrapped? Not trying to be a smart *** but by that logic, it sounds as if that would be against code as well.
Good luck. That's pretty frustrating.
Where is your friend's business? Just curious... From CC myself and parents are living in the Bluff now. I've been to that Walmart after midnight... I'm not surprised at your friends findings.

If there are no ties to the city with the Facebook page who contacted you, then I would operate under the premise that no one from the city has contacted you. This sounds really fishy to me.

Wind n wave. They get traffic moving back from Timon’s ministries towards the undeveloped brushy areas where the homeless camps are.
Here’s the message. In hindsight I shouldn’t have called and thought I was going to clear up an easy misunderstanding by saying we weren’t actually selling anything. That went downhill quick.
I could handle that easily. Her stating that everyone that brought salsa to the event needed a license is where I lost my cool with her.
My wife, who is a saint, called her the next day and also wasn’t able to get a rationale response.
Fortunately, the new lemonade stand law as well as cottage laws that are being expanded should prevent this type of BS.
When the event is over, I’m going to be reaching out in the council meeting. Cities have real issues that need to be addressed. This is just more fleecing of tax payer dollars.
