Psychics and mediums are REALLY good at reading people and subtly getting the clues they need from their targets without their knowing about it and also throwing out generalities that apply to just about everyone. They all range from delusional quacks who believe their own BS to wilful scam artists.

James Randi has done some amazing work debunking these scammers since the 1970s, he even has a legitimate standing offer of $1,000,000 to anyone who can display any sort of psychic talents in a verifiable manner, no one has collected on it yet.
I have similar sentiments. But... out of curiosity (and because my sisters kept heckling me to get a reading done) my sisters took me to this 'famous' palm reader. The dude looked at my hands and began telling me all the usual psychic stuff- "you suffered a tough break up" "you will come into money later in your life" "your family is watching you" "you are about to move far away from here" (considering my sisters just spoke with him, I was certain they 'revealed' I was moving to Illinois in a few months) yada yada yada… None of that meant anything to me and I already tuned him out. And he told me I was tuning him out, so he gave me 2 pieces of info to ponder.

      1. He said it wouldn't be long after my move that I would be dating a 6' sandy-blonde haired, green-eyed woman.
      2. He said at some point in my life a friend will offer me a chance to ride his motor cycle. He told me he highly suggested I didn't accept.

Three months later in Illinois I started dating a beautiful girl. Six foot tall, sandy blonde hair, and green eyes. Her name was Sarah Beth. YEARS later, a close friend offered me a chance to ride his prized Spurs Edition Harley Davidson with the quip that if I was about to wreck, to make sure I totaled it.

I did not accept the ride...

I still have skepticism. And I have yet to go back to any 'psychic'.
