Pipe Top Trailer Question

Does anyone make some sort of rubber type covering for the rails on a pipe top trailer? Long story short a borrowed trailer rail got scratched bad by a cable come-a-long (not by me, but I was in charge of said trailer). Trying to find a way to cover up the playing card sized area and make it look nice. I may end up just buying the darn thing anyway at this point but I don't want to look at it either.

I agree, if it doesn't have a few marks or dents then it isn't being used enough.
But I understand new paint being rather sentimental too.

Sounds like is terribly damaged. If its 16' or longer I'll give you 900 for that beat up damaged trailer. That way you don't have that eye sore in your yard.

I just keep a rattle-can of satin black in my tool box. Touch up the scratches on the trailer every 3-4 months. More for rust preventative rather than cosmetic, but I do like to keep my stuff looking as nice as possible too.

Buy the roll on herculiner bedliner and coat the whole thing if you are going to keep it.

I agree guys, but the issue is it's not mine. I borrowed it in one condition and don't care to return it in another that's worse. I may after a discussion with the owner, but if I can make it look better, that's what I'll do.

Are you wanting to hide the fact it was scratched up before returning the trailer?

Gotcha.... Tell the owner exactly what happened and that you are willing to do whatever he wants to remedy the problem.

That's why I NEVER borrow anything...EVER...

Learned my lesson years ago... If I cant buy or rent it, then I don't need it.

Touch up paint won't look right, or adhere if the trailer is powder coated. If it's painted, than its no problem.
