Sword identification

Nichol or chrome plating on the scabbard may suggest a time period more recent, if that is what it is. But dosn't mean it's of little value. I'd sure like to see it and if there are any type of tooling marks somewhere on the blade.

The gouge marks indicate the number of ladies he has bedded. At least that’s why the notches in my head board are for.

It's a Japanese officer's dress sword from WW-II. I've had several of them.
