I bought a fridge for our new home about a year ago. Lowes is about 4 minutes from my house. HD is about 40-45 minutes. Found someone I knew and asked what the price match for lowes was. Said they'd match any price, any where. He told me to find the cheapest price I could online where they ship from out of state so I am not paying tax either. I bought a Whirlpool 28 CuFt fridge. Original price was around $1800. Got it for like $1250 out the door including tax.

I bought a fridge from Lowes last year. They matched HD price and delivered for free saving me another $110 for 60 mile delivery. NO 10% less price match but I was happy.

It is funny, I often find myself spending time searching for the lowest prices to save a couple of bucks when the reality is my time is usually worth more than the money I save.

I was looking at an electric smoker. Walmart online had it $50.00 cheaper than Lowes. Took the online ad in Lowes, asked if they price matched others online prices and they said you bet. Walked out with my smoker.$50.00 less.

Many wanted to try talk me into coming on the lot to tell me the features bla bla.... Some gave me a price. I paid 500 over dealer cost. It was quick and easy.
Hate to tell you this, but you got screwed. Every new vehicle I bought was $500 below dealer cost and the dealership was losing money.......according to my salesman!

They’ve never made money off me either... funny how we get the same story. Honestly, I’ve never heard them ever say they made money... I’m not sure how they keep the doors open
