Wow. Crazy story. What a sorry way to go

Crazy story for sure.
True story, as a teenager a buddy and I were going to hunt Sea Rim one Sunday morning. I had a 14' flat bottom with a 18 mercury and it would run quick and shallow. I was running wide open as we headed to a spot we called the island. My buddy was holding the spot light when all of a sudden he fell backwards and the spot light hit the bottom of the boat. I shut her down and killed the engine. My buddy was out cold as my lab licked blood from his face. As I leaned over him he was coming back too so I grabbed the spot light. As I was talking to him and pushing my lab back, I noticed a green wing teal laying on our decoy bag.

Lets say our hunt was cut short, my buddy ended up just being sore and bruised, but I have always thought that it could have turned out so much worse.

It’s surprising to see the jokes about something like this, not what I would want to read if this was someone I was close to.

Agree, prayers up for the family. I've come close several times to colliding with ducks in early morning on the bay, scary stuff.

Incredibly random incident however I had a feeling some others had encountered duck strikes especially along the coast.

I friend was flying across Conroe and something hit him in the eye. Next day it swole up and he went to the eye Dr.
Had to pop it out and remove the bug behind the eye ball.....
