I have a rhino 660 and bought a Honda rancher off my neighbor. The main reasons are I can carry it in the bed of my truck without having to haul a trailer. And if I get stuck I can pick one end up and spin it around.. I weave in and out of trees etc.. that big ole rhino is harder to maneuver and when u stick one you better hope your close to an anchor point for the wench..
I have a 2000 Honda 350 2WD for sale. It's a great bike that has taken me everywhere I wanted to go. Only reason I'm selling is I bought a side by side last year - a little easier on my aging bones. I've never needed 4WD - the one time I got it stuck (high centered in a mud hole) I just manhandled it over and out. Right now it's at my deer lease near Junction but I'm planning to bring it home to NW Houston area the next time I go out. Asking $1500 and I'll throw in an aluminum tri-fold loading ramp.
Search for it in classifieds or pm me your number and I'll send some pics.
The only reason for a bigger bike or 4WD is if you plan to go mudding in the most challenging conditions. This bike can carry 2 people, or you and your deer, anywhere you want to go on the typical deer lease.
Atvs - Honda or Kawasaki - don’t buy one with a snorkel - coozies are ok -
no problems with my 2002 electric shift rancher. You do have to be diligent with brake maintenance on all atvs.
SxS - the older 2510, 3010, 4010 Kawasaki Mules are **** near indestructible
Have a ¿’97? 2510 still runs
Now own a Mule Pro FXT . Fast, strong, smooth, QUIET
Had a 2012 Polaris ranger. Was fast and smooth. And LOUD.
Prefer the Mule line tho - jmo
As far as buying used- if they pass the eye test, shift smooth, aren’t burning up oil, brakes work or are repairable and don’t look beat to hell and abused (eye test) buy and save $$$$
