Interest in Nilgai hunting is definitely the on the rise. Prices have gone way up. It’s always a good time riding around drinking beer looking for a big black& blue one. That Nilgai success thread kinda puts a spotlight on it. That’s goodbull. I’m asked all the time if I can take someone to shoot one. The answer is no I can’t. No I won’t. Ever I’m haunted by a blue bull that had a beard so long it waved around hanging. I tried to get my daughter to shoot it and she didnt understand what she was looking at as far as what “one of a kind” bull it was. That bull was seen multiple times but never killed. I bet he lives on El Sauz nowadays on the very southern tip of the ranch

Look up Jt Safari on FB, base price is $350 for trip, then it’s tip based for the kill. Tyler/nick tip avaerages $350 per cow and $600 per bull. I went with them last month and had a blast. We saw plant of animals and the hunt was quite an adventure. These guys worked their butt of for us. I don’t know of anywhere you can kill a big bull for less than 1k. If you don’t have FB I have his contact info. He has 5 openings right now for March.

Or has he "threatened" you too about talking "bad" about his business on public formats?

Pretty affordable rates compared to some I have seen and you get to hunt a legendary ranch.
the legendary "low fence" "all native" ranch in south texas! LOL

I have some nilgai bulls and cows to hunt. $3500 for bull under 7" longest horn or $4500 if over 7" longest horn. Or a cow for $1800. Animal will be removed from field and gutted for that price. Cape and quarter $200. Lodging and meals will be extra ($275/night) or there are hotels and restaurants 15 minutes from ranch in Three rivers or George West.
Family owned hunting ranch offering trophy south Texas white tail deer and exotic game hunts. We hope to make our clients feel at home - like they are hanging out with friends at deer camp but our place is first class as is our hospitality.

Reality is that anything that is of increasing interest to hunters will get more expensive. Nilgai hunts are just 1 example of things that are increasing in price.

That’s insane that Nilgai hunting is coming to charging according to horn length. Crazy.
