So does the state pay to mount the smaller fish? Seems like if they mount 8 pounders that would get expensive! I'd take a free 13lb ditch pickle mount but I'm not spending any of my money on one!!![emoji2]

I’ve been to El Salto 3 times and still only have 2 double digit bass. Great fish you caught! Everyone’s definition of a “Lunker” is different. You caught one and glad you got recognized.

Only the 13lbers that get donated. There were multiple 13lbers last year that weren't donated, I'm sure most would rather those big fish naturally reproduce in their home lake rather than have the fry all got to Fork or some private lake in south texas, which has been a knock on the program in the past and I think they are trying to remedy that as well.

It's simply for recognition. I get what they are trying to accomplish.

The 13 pound benchmark remains the same and it has to be pure Florida to be spawned into the program. Nothing has changed.

Information on the Toyota ShareLunker bass fishing recognition program.

Depends on what lakes your fishing.

Yep, and you just need to know where to look. And no I'm not telling where to look!
