Follow-up!
my original search budget, as most do, crept up.. in Feb. I purchased a new gravely 160 commercial pro-turn from Victoria hlavinka. I almost walked out b/c the 'salesman' couldn't start it.. when he went in to get a mechanic my buddy hopped on it and away he went... 7 months later, it has been a great mower..... the Kawasaki eng fires right up, and the controls are great. it cuts fantastic.. appears to be a heavy duty machine, it's solid... thick welded deck that hurt my knuckles the 1st time I rapped on it(after I just looked at a deere in same price range, where the deck felt like a tin can) only time will tell.. I don't intend to abuse it, and don't try to mow as fast as I can(not the smoothest ride)

Used, low hour'ish, Kubota ZD21 or ZD28 or anything Kubota that's diesel..... I've had numerous gasoline zeros, several Dixie Choppers, JD, Toro, etc etc etc, and Kubota diesels are SO much better..... More reliable by a loooooooong shot... Engines will last TWICE as long (if maintained properly).... No issues with sitting up for a month and no crank, etc etc etc... I'll NEVER own another gasoline mower....(other than very small stuff where diesel isn't an option)Last edited by Slicefixer; 08-25-2019, 07:06 PM.
