Yes it does..... I don’t know the specs offhand but freezing at a certain temp for a certain period of time is now why pork is served at different doneness

TBH group hog hunt! You two come on over.
Honestly I don't care for them as much as I use to. I'm getting to lazy to cook them right They do look awesome when cooking though..and smell great also. Both of those were pregnant sows.

Why gut shoot any animal? Putting them through a painful death doesn’t solve anything and makes you a bad hunter

The hunting community would appreciate if you would not post things like this on a public forum.

Everyone (with more than 2 brain cells to rub together) knows wild pigs are a serious problem. They are an invasive species and there are not enough taken by hunting to stem population growth. They need killing in far greater numbers than they are currently.

That doesn’t make it ethical to gut shoot them. If you’re too lazy to drag them away from your feeder, shoot them at a location other than your feeder.

I do it all the time. We are over run with them. Not a treehugger here.

I’m a long way from a treehugger but I don’t want to see any animal needlessly suffer. Kill them DRT and haul them off.

They do. People just don’t keep them that long. [emoji6]

I eat lots of wild pork. No issues as of yet. I don’t process my own and if there’s a problem my processor tells me he won’t process it. I’ve had exactly 1 hog in 8 years that he found that he wouldn’t process.

Some of the newer ones seem like they were designed NOT to.

Anything that will stand and eat a rotten pile green, slimy, soupy chickens will not be served to my family. Feral hogs in east Texas are nasty.

I guess you don't let your family eat free range chicken.
