    Ya I'm thinking it's his mother board or graphics card since nothing is coming up at all. No power lights coming on leans more towards mother board. I've had fans still run with a shot mother board.

      No indication of any activity at all...PC running, but power button not lighting up.

          Could be a bad power supply. Bad thing is without parts to test, you'd just be throwing money at it. When you buy the new computer, you can pull the old hard drive and put it in the new computer if there are any files you need off of it.
