I have seen times when deer bust me in a stand and then the next time they come the first thing they do is look right at the stand. This has made me wonder if they will eventually get leery of feeders. If a deer sees multiple other deer killed at a feeder will it quite coming to that feeder? If so, should we move our feeders around every couple years?

Putting too much thought into it. I have always heard a deers memory last 20 seconds. Myth maybe but I have killed deer, deer drops and seconds later the ones that ran off are feeding around the dead deer. I have also had instances like yours where they bust me and the next time they come in they look at the same spot.
Don't move feed locations. Best thing to do is have multiple setups around the pattern of the deer.

I have heard the 20 second memory thing also but they sure remember where they saw me the day before. I am not sure how that is different from seeing another die. Maybe since they were not hurt it does not register as danger. I like the idea of having multiple setups on one feeder. That helps with wind also.

We had a set that used to be strictly hand corn spot . We set a feeder on it because the hogs just kept wearing it out . We never had any problems when it was a hand corn spot of getting busted there but almost every time with the south wind blind we get busted now the north wind set is still fine but not the south wind spot. They totally changed how they came into the spot wind the wind was out of the south now it is weird.
