      Jackrabbit
      Swamp rabbit
      Hares
      Squirrel
      All braised then ether fried or grilled and some times put in a crockpot
      Easter is coming up and free bunnies needing a new home taste great

          Fake news.... They are grass/browse eaters..
          The only thing that eats more grass than a jack rabbit is a goat..
          They are bad eating just a little stringy and can be tough..

                All doe rabbits will occasionally eat their young. Usually because they are lacking in a certain nutrient. My dad raised checkered giants to eat and would always feed the doe a slice of raw bacon a couple of days before she had babies. Sometimes they eat the bacon and sometimes not but if they ate the bacon 99.9% of the time the babies were safe. One checkered giant fryer will feed a large family. They weigh in about 8 lbs at 2/3 grown.

                As for eating wild rabbit, there ain't nuttin better than 1/2 grown jackrabbits off an alfalfa field. Back and hind legs are all you need fried like Sunday chicken with mashed taters n gravy. The meat is sweet and tender, the other white meat.
