An elderly man was stopped by the police around 2 a.m. and was asked where he was going at that time of night.
The man replied, "I'm on my way to a lecture about alcohol abuse and the effects it has on the human body, as well as smoking and staying out late."
The officer then asked, "Really? Who's giving that lecture at this time of night?"
...
The man replied,
"That would be my wife."

I love the taste of whiskey and beer....but I really only drink at the deer lease, dove lease, margaritas or beer at a restaurant and at social events like the holidays or Bownanza. I rarely drink at home anymore just because I feel like **** the next day and the older I get the longer it takes to recover.I just really don't even think about it or crave it. I could easily give it up and never have another drop but I do like the taste of beer and whiskey in the outdoors. I guess I just drank too much in college and my first 5-6 years in the corporate world because I'm just not a big fan of drinking alone at my home anymore even though I have a cabinet full of liquor and a shop fridge with beer in it.. Call me a social drinker because I am prepared for visitors..
My wife drinks a couple of margaritas a year with Mexican food. Probably could count on one hand her drinks for a year. That's about it....she's a lightweight and get's a big headache with it. We both used to drink a lot in the first 5-6 years of our 21 year marriage.....but have cut waaaay back. She gives me absolutely no grief about drinking though when I do....of course, I don't give her any reason to.Last edited by Smart; 01-23-2019, 08:22 PM.
