Tooth wear is less than 50% accurate according to "experts". I say he's 4.5-5.5 by looking at his body. Pull the two lower front teeth and send them to deerage.com for a better estimate.

I don’t see that buck being older than 4.5. And most of the other deer you posted look young too. I’ve hunted central Texas my whole life. Yes I’d cull that buck out. But I’m not seeing him being post mature at all. Maybe yalls deer down there are built a bit different but there’s little doubt when a mature buck walks out in Mason.

I've never heard of ageing deer from ear creases? Hi Tim
You won't see ear creases that defined on a young buck ever.. Those takes years to develope. Like the wrinkles on a persons face and hands..

I've never heard of ageing deer from ear creases? Hi TimJust another something to look at instead of body size.
I would say minimum 4.5 on the teeth wear but probably 5.5. They **** sure dont show 3.5 like every freaking deer posted on the internet for aging, lol. I really wish I could see how far down the staining went on his back legs. I think I see a hint of it going fairly far down but not sure.
