      First time I saw him was at a hole in the wall bar in Houston. At the time he was an unknown. His self titled album hadn't even been released yet. It was 1988 I believe. He sang "If tomorrow never comes", and "The Dance." I was an instant fan. I saw him later in the Astrodome around 1993. I think at the time that was the biggest crowd he'd ever played for. You could tell he was in awe of how many people came to hear him.
