I have come to despise hunting shows and never watch them. A friend all but forced me to watch an episode of Meat Eater.

Yeah, I dig it. Very refreshing. Now impatiently waiting next series on Netflix.

Been following Steve for a couple years now. Listened to a lot of his podcasts... have read a couple of his books. I most definitely prefer him over just about every other outdoor writer/personality out there.

Just be mindful of the fact that he's not all that big on Texas. The feeders, fences, etc... But I really don't put that against him so much... I know he is more of a Michigan/Western hunter and so he has his own biases. The good thing is he is fairly opened minded and willing to just discuss stuff rather than some others...

But I'll quote/paraphrase Steve in one regard... I probably will never want to meet him... because I doubt he'd actually live up to my expectations of the fella.

Might have to listen. I took a half year break from the podcasts as they get repetative.

I want to be like Chew when I grow old.... er.

Thanks, I will look into it. I have heard of pod casts before, never knew anything about them. What, when, where, why?

Yes, MeatEater is one of my favorites. You guys should look at Born and Raised Outdoors, The Hunting Public, Randy Newberg and Gritty Bowmen and last but not least Relentless Pursuit for a good laugh. John Dudleys podcasts are great for learning to work on your bow and getting shooting tips. His hunting shows are not that good IMO. All of them great shows in my opinion. I watch all of these on Youtube. TV shows are in the past for me.
