A great representative of that generation. He was a patriot, a statesman, a businessman and a respected public figure. But what always impressed me most about the man was the way that his kids and grandkids talk about him. The love, respect and reverence shown for their patriarch is telling of the man that he was in his everyday life. Rest in Peace Mr. President and thank you for your service.

Also his little baby girl Robin. They say his faith was strong and he was ready to go. He missed his Mother and Robin the most, it had been so long.

      RIP H.W.

That last President to have served in WWII.
                            God’s speed Mr. President.

Dad was treasurer of the San Jancinto chapter of the WWII sub vets and sent 41 a letter asking about the best way to raise 90k to place the Submarine USS Cavala on display at Sea Wolf Park, Galveston,Tx. Dad's letter reminded 41, who was working at the time for the CIA, that he was rescued by a WWII sub.

41's return letter basically said, "I've got this", and over 300k in funding was provided.
