Best 16" Gas Chainsaw

That's the question. Time to replace and interested in the research and trials others have already gone through.

What is recommended?

For the money echo. IMO

[Triple 7]

Stihl, Echo and Husqvarna are the three top saws. I have a Husqvarna and I will tell you that Stihl is the best of them all.

I bought a stihl after harvey last year. Only thing I will own for chainsaw anymore.

I have a sthil and love it, have had good luck with it.

But I use my battery operated Makita reciprocating saw with a pruning blade 99% of the time.

I have cut 16" trees with the 12" pruning blade countless times when clearing roads.

easier to haul around, quiet, and don't have to fool with gas.

I have a 12” Echo top handle and a Stihl 20” FarmBoss, both are great saws and have always started right up.
