I realize in drought years deer might have short brow tines or no brow tines, but at what age do you make the call to cull and say he will never have them.
Reason I ask is because my dad and I seem to be in disagreement on a this topic and a specific deer in general.
My wife shot a nice 6 point as a cull, unfortunately she hit him high in the top of the neck with the crossbow and the deer survived.
My dad had the buck at his feeder and thinks the deer has too much potential to cull. The buck is either 3 or 4 and does not have a scoreable brow tine.
What would y’all do?
