Yesterday was the best day I've had in a very long time. I've been waiting to hear this motor run since the first day I saw it when Uncle John moved down to the valley for treatment. It took so much longer than expected as life has a tendency to throw curveballs at you. Bike's been in my possession since '07 and I finally got to witness the shovel run last night.

A little red water while making coals on the ground to make some stuffed peppers and sausage wraps to celebrate my Dad turning in his retirement papers today, effective immediately. Good times with family and a few friends.

Tomorrow is the first opener I've missed in a long time. Not allowed to pull back a bow for another couple weeks because of the c-section. That's ok, I'll just snuggle with the little one!

Weird following the excitement on the site this week as everyone prepares for the opener. I used to get excited, but may have lost my edge and passion for archery, as it seem just like another day for me.....................


























































Nada.......just that I have been hunting since September 1 here in Alberta! Off chasing elk at 3 am tomorrow with Ryan. Ryan's going to be a tired boy, as he is currently walking out of the forest with Todd. They have been chasing moose today, as both have drawn coveted tags this year. They were on two bulls, and had one at 15 yards. Todd was a full draw after Ryan called him in, but he was facing him and instead of just slightly turning, he turned and ran!

Good morning!

Woke up at 4:30 this morning and thought about heading to the refuge then the roof started making some mighty loud sounds from the hard rain. I went back to bed and slept til 9am. Helped my wife fix scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, and gravy for my future hunting buddy.


I gotta get something better than this old phone for pics.
Told my son I we have shared many opening mornings together and this was another one that I enjoyed even if we were only hunting breakfast and coffee.

This will be a season I will always remember my Cheyenne and I get to go Bowhunting together. She is now big enough to hunt with her Bow. Good Luck to ALL !!!!!
