My son showed up a little after 6pm with a couple buddies and they put the metal and ridge cap on my MIL/FIL retirement shack out back. FIL is a hard working guy for 77 years old and he works on this place every day besides doing a garden. Hope I have his ambition when I hit 77. Here's the crew working by lantern light well after dark.

I know dangit ! My Son and I had one hang up 100 yds out then heard him gobble off with some hens. We waited and called for an hour then gave up and prepared to relocate when a Gobbler ran off from a clump of bushes 30 yards away. He was standing there all along making fools of us. Turkey !!!

                  Its a 1st!!!

This weekend at the lease was Jake's 1st time to do a little hunting! Of course he has gone and set in the stand with his dad but has never killed anything! So Saturday while his brother and I were filling feeders Jacob & Gunner went hunting, my 1st thing to kevin is the gun loaded and those words didnt come out of my mouth and 2 shots were fired (poor animal)! And a great big WOOHOO. Out him and Gunner come w/ a rabbit!!! You would have thought it was a P&Y Trophy might as well been to him, we are having the hide tanned! CONGRATS JAKE!!! Momma sure is proud of ya!!!!
On a side note he ended the weekend w/ a total for 3 rabbits!!!
Thank you Gunner for your excellent guide service!!!

Ran 5 miles in 39:07 last night, and I'm feeling the effects of it now! Boss is in town, so it's gonna be a very busy next few days.
