My mother in law passed away on March 2 and we buried her this past saturday. It was a complete surprise and really tough on my wife's family. I am looking forward to a better week starting today!

Was taking the feed delivery guy out the back way of our ranch to save him time on his way to his next delivery. As we drove by this brush pile on the neighbors ranch, I noticed a rather large worm roosting on the top. As I came back I decided to stop take a look at him. Once I got out, I realized he wasn't alone!
Since it was not my ranch, I obviously kept the gun in the truck and just took a picture of him. This was easily the biggest rattle snake I have ever seen, and wish I wasn't such a chicken and pulled him out of the brush to get a good measure of him. I'd bet my last dollar that he was well over 6'.
Later on this afternoon, I found this one on the right side of the fence (wrong side for him). This encounter didn't end up as fortunate for him as it did his buddies on the other side of the fence!

dang Jbone thats too many snakes for me. Luckily I havent seen any on any of my places so far this year. Got me a 27" doinker stabilizer ordered a little while ago and am very excited for it to get here. Need to get to building a couple of projects that I am thinking of.Comment
