Pretty good business at work so far this week... learned today that my newly married son and bride will be joining my wife and me at the ranch for Easter weekend... gonna be a fun time... she's kind of a "city girl", but she's actually the one who seemed the most excited to go...

No no, Cheddars. They got a plenty ornery grilled chicken pecan salad.......and I gorged myself last night on (5 minutes a side) bacon wrapped backstrap fillets, keystone light, and cabernet.............so I was goin light. Ok, well I'm gonna try to play golf at least once this weekend, and probly catch a dirt race.....so I reckon I'll just have to chance it. Although Mamaw might make me hide easter eggs on Sunday for the nephews, so I better eat another steak-only meal, and drink some bad whiskey in the mean time.Comment

good news to share. Last week my wife had chest pains and we ended up getting an xray. Doctor says she has pleurocy, but xray showed a white discolored area on opposite side of chest on lymph node. He sends us for CAT Scan today. Waiting all weekend was the hardest part. After trying 7 times to get an IV up and down both arms and both sides of wrist they never got IV in and did CT scan without contrast and called a couple hours later saying everything looked fine with lungs....but (another but)
there is a knot on her thyroid. We can live with that, she had half of her thyroid removed in 1997 and there is a good chance just scar tissue. If not, still not near as worried as when they said there was a tumor, growth, calcium or something on/in her lungs. Thank the good Lord all should be well.Comment

all is good on the home front...corn is sprouted, rice fields are ready, and cattle still cheap to sell and expensive to feed....
me and the sons did get to shoot some arrows and my oldest(8), almost got ran over by a javelina. scared him bad.
