Brady caught those 1st two fish mostly on his own, I have to cast for him and Matt coached him up a little with the bigger fish while I netted it for him. We all had a blast!
This one was a little more of an adventure... I had just got back in the boat, baited a hook, cast it out and shoved it in a rod holder on the front of the boat. I walked to the back of the boat and took off my boots, and was headed. Ack toward the front for a cold beverage when the rod bent in 1/2. I jumped over the cooler, got the rod out of the holder and set the hook. I could tell it was a bigger fish but I handed it to Brady anyway. He fought it for about 15 seconds, and he says the line was touching his hand or something when the fish made a run, and it burned him. I'm still not sure it didn't just spook him a little how hard it was pulling.....either way he let go and my Curado and Waterloo went over the front! I bailed off the front after the rod, landing on it, and a big ol oyster shell. I handed the rod to my wife and got back in the boat. Weeaks dispensed with the net duties...and Blair had to tag the 1st redfish she ever caught.
The oyster shells sliced a toe a little, and put a pretty good gash in my heel, I got peroxide on it as soon as we got in and Blair super glued it for me.
