I bought one because it was too cheap to pass up a few years ago. Put a Nikon on top of it and it’s my go to killer now. Very surprising how accurate they are.

Got my daughter the 6.5cm and she loves it! I’m probably going to get one for me as well. For the price, I don’t know if you can find a better deal.

        Is the rebate from academy?

Anybody own one of the long range tactical rifles from savage that Academy offers? I looked at one earlier in 300 win mag, looks pretty cool and is pretty heavy so it doesn't feel cheap. I'd like on in 338 lapua though

I have for my daughter in .243, it's all over paper. I am suspecting it is the cheap UTG scope I have on it. I even bedded the rifle and cut 1.5 coils off the trigger spring as well. I need to get her a better scope to see if it is the gun or the scope. I have a Savage 10FP-SR in .308 for me and I cloverleaf at 100 yards with it.

Why can't they carry the 25-06??

I did some mods on a Axis 243 for my daughter including the “trigger job”. We shoot Hornady White Tail and she can punch holes that look like a clover or less (100yds).

Plane Jane to this. Boyds stock in Pepper, EGW base, Warne rings, Leupold Rifleman scope. I'm loving that bolt handle Patwilson.
I see one in the future for me.

Did you get her a full size? How does she handle the recoil? My daughter is 13 and has a small frame. Just wondering if this would work for her.

I bought a savage axis .270 for my Primary gun, put a Boyd Stock on it and everyone mistakes it for a very expensive rifle. I have killed everything I have shot at with it and I love how accurate it stays over time. The only thing I don't love about it is the clip, if you get into a situation where you want to send 4 rounds down range quickly you need to do some mods on the clip to keep it snug and even then the bullet will need to be babied from the clip to the chamber.

Nice! Yes sir, the bolt handle was a nice addition.

Good old Savage. Most accurate Ugly gun made. Love mine. Both shoot in the 2's. I did add a Boyd's thumbhole stock to the 7WSM model 110. The 22-250 P-dog gun is a model 12vss that is not made anymore. Both have excellent triggers
