Lease prices in OK depend on what part of the state you want to hunt. In the NW part (which is where I’m most familiar), the prices vary but are generally around $10 per acre, but I have heard of people paying as much as $20 an acre for places known for “booners”. Any place along a river generally commands a premium.

The rut in NW OK usually starts around the second week of November and runs through Thanksgiving week.

Any of you hunt around Freedom OK? Not trying to Hijack, but I may have some opportunities to hunt up there in the future.

I hunt just north of Freedom. Our price is just under $10 an acre.

Should be good hunting in that area. My place is a little north and east of Freedom.

I was out there 2 weeks ago and its amazing country!! My boss owns thousands of acers out there and has given me the green light to hunt on it. I've already burned all my vacation this year, but I believe I will be taking a trip up there next year during rifle season to see if I can get my feet wet with OK deer hunting. It seems like a totally different world out there. I glassed some wheat fields watching deer pour in. Some really nice bucks as well. If ya'll have some pointers on that style hunting shoot me a PM I don't mean to take over the thread with this.

Just a reminder, out of state license is $300 and that is for archery season. Another $300 if you want to rifle hunt too.
