Honda has front and rear lock. So no it’s not the only one!

Its smoother, quieter, and faster than his Kawasaki. It's just long.

On the Commanders you really can’t tell a difference other than low end torque. In a race we will be neck and neck with my 1000 barely pulling ahead. In everyday driving they feel the same. Only notice it when climbing steep hills and or pulling a heavy load and the extra torque is noticeable then.

I have a 2017 Mule Pro FXT, and absolutely love it. Fully decked with Ox Rack, quack Rack and other gizmos. However, my buddy just got a 2019 Ranger 1000, and after riding the same area has me thinking about switching. As far as mud goes, we stuck both of them within 20 feet of each other a couple weeks ago. I don't see any SXS getting much traction with a soggy bottom.

Anyone with a Can Am Defender 500 or other 500 model SXS? How did you like the performance?
I’m looking to get a SXS but not sure if it’s worth the extra money to me for a bigger model. I’m used to driving a Kubota RTV 500 and as far as power goes, it should be everything I need. Have hauled around a 14’ trailer with 20+ wood fence posts and other stuff with it. The Kubota is just too slow and not enough ground clearance.
Most of my work will be light duty or cruising around the lease. Not sure if I can justify the extra $$$ just for a bigger engine.

I agree on the mule pro fxt, they are great machines reliability wise and a huge step up from the original mule. BUT, I cannot get over the tiny bed in crew cab mode and the lack of throttle response. I do more ranch type work, bed space and being able to cover ground quick is more important. Ranger crew 900 is what we settled on

I went with the HD8 and have no regrets. It’s got a lot of get up and go. It’s gone everywhere I’ve wanted it to and some places I wasn’t sure it would make it.

even those rented rangers in cabo with TWENTY two THOUSAND kilometers wouldnt run over 60.
Junk they all are...[emoji849]

I think a lot of the guys that have problems have put the giant lifts and wheels on em and probably abused the hell out of them. Or maybe we just got lucky.Last edited by Rancho; 03-31-2019, 09:42 PM.
