I've had my Mule Pro fxt since 2015. Almost 5,000 miles on it. By far my favorite side x side I've owned. It is a champion feeder filler, family hauler. It's not polaris or can-am fast, but that's not what I bought it for. The trans-bed (long bed 2 seater and short bed 4 seater) is the best thing since sliced bread. And it is quiet compared to most, I see a lot more animals driving it around.

The Toyota Tacoma in the classifieds for $8K. Why settle for less?

Ac/ Heat...closed cab....not even a choice. I sold my SxS and bought a Nissan Pathfinder, best thing I ever did!

In New Mexico this year, we loaded a big bull elk, ungutted, into a big Polaris and drove it with 3 men back to camp.

The pro fxt is a nice machine like a few others. BUT for the life of me I can not figure out why they don't make it with a "real" bed. If you want to actually use the back seat you end up with a 6 inch bed. Ok it might be a little bigger than 6 inches but dang.

Sure hope you either never have to drive it on dry dusty roads OR you have a back windshield too!! I have the 1000-5 with that windshield and with the upper part slightly tilted open and a back vinyl windshield the dust isn't bad... without it, you'll be covered in dust and lungs hackin' black lugies in less than a mile!!

Which back windshield do you have? I was thinking the kolpin hard rear panel, but like the vinyl panel because it’s easy to take off. Might get doors and a heater next season, spent too much on it already only having it for a month!

Why would the 500 and 700 suck? Same machine just less power right?

Transmission is completely different. 700 is a 3 speed that will break your neck. 1000 is much smoother. Test drive them and you’ll see what I’m talking about!

So. Not everyone hunts a golf course. Some of us actually HUNT in areas trucks cannot get to.

Trucks can’t compete with a side by side. All around it’s just more hassle for a/c and heat. Plus a taco is too big to turn around with limited visibility
