    1. 5th wheel un kook and you have a vehical to go on day trips.
    2. class C you have to rent or pull your day trip ride. Then you have to buy gas for that car.
Thats your biggest decision I believe.
MPG is not good either way. Shouldnt be the deciding factor IMO.
I will be pulling a small enclosed trailer with our Harley if we go with a class C. But from what I did find from a site mentioned it looks like about 10 MPG, so I might be looking 1 to 2 miles difference, so cost of fuel might be the deciding factor.

      I have a 30 bumper pull that I pull with my 2015 F250 6.7, gets about 10MPG with me driving 80+.

          2017 F350 6.7 Club Cab (stock) w/ 30ft 5th wheel about 9-10 mpg.

IMO a class-C would terribly inconvenient to have to "break camp" when you have to go to the store, to the river to fish, or sightseeing, etc.

Class C is easier to drive and park. Getting fuel is the biggest problem. The longer the rig harder to maneuver. None get good mileage.
I had a small travel trailer that I pulled with my truck and enjoy my class C a lot more, even pulling our car behind us.
