With the ez lynk and ppei tune you can delete the emissions and def with 0 hp gain. The one I have has 0-200 hp added and I will say this 100 hp will break the tires loose at 60mph with no prob. I also put in a 4" exhaust with a muffler. I have not taken the egr out of the truck yet.

On the 0 hp gain my fuel mileage went from 14 to 19 but I am currently running a 60hp gain and I still at around 16mpg

This is who did mine. Very happy with it. EZ Lynk and their tunes.

Forgot to mention - in the 2 months since I deleted, I have seen almost no mileage increase on my dually. But - that's most likely because of my lead right foot ... The truck is a whole lot more fun to drive now ...

EZLynk will work just fine. I do recommend against PPEI for tuning on the 17+ trucks. I ran PPEI for maybe 1000-1500 miles, and my 2-3 shift was HARD. Doing some research and all the guys with transmission issues are running PPEI. It’s actually becoming a joke on the 17+ page that anytime someone mentions having to replace a transmission the rest of the people immediately blame PPEI without the poser even mentioning using them. At least 95% of the time they’re correct. I’m now running Tyrant tunes in my 17’ 350, and I much prefer them. Much smoother TCM tuning.

I’ve got 32k on my truck now, and have been deleted since a little over 10k. I get 15-17 mpg highway on 37x12.50 Toyos. When still stock with 37s I was only getting 12-13.5 mpg highway.

An item not to overlook is the stock intercooler pipes. I blew the cold side pipe off a couple weeks ago pulling out of my neighborhood. Blew off on the 2 - 3 shift. Just replaced hot and cold side pipes with aFe kit.
That's actually a common problem regardless of having a tune or delete. They tend to blow at 100k to 150k. Mine blew at 130k, and scared the crap outta me. I didn't feel like waiting a week for the AFE one to show up, so just replaced it with a stock pipe. Good to go another 130k!

OP, Fuel mileage wise, I couldn't tell you if there is a difference. It's a 3/4 ton truck that pulls things, it gets what it gets. Power generation is fantastic though!

I'm not looking for any more power as my current 7.3 pulls just fine and I know the 6.7 embarrasses it from a power standpoint. I'm just looking at moving into a newer/nicer truck and want to avoid the headaches of all the emissions stuff.

I know of a guy that drives a hotshot business that bought a 17 f450 and has 900,000 miles on it already. Yep you read that right, 900K.

His is all stock and he does routine maintenance.

On the other hand if you delete anything you have to run a tuner. Most guys I know of delete all the emissions crap and run a basic tow tune that is about 70hp gain. Nothing crazy and trucks run great.

or 1232 miles for 2 years
                        How is that even possible????????????????

I’m about to install my ez lynk and chaos tunes on my anyday now. Can’t wait. Heard a lot of great things on tyrant/chaos/proven on the 17+6.7 forums. If your running 37’s on a leveling kit post up some pics. Trying to figure out if I’m going with 37’s or not.
