      I see a few every year all the way into mid November tha still have faint spots.
      Sterling County west if San Angelo. I believe these to be mostly late first fawns from young doe that weren't quite ready when the first estrus cycle hit. Our old nanny doe's buck fawns will sometimes have hardened bumps by regular season. I think these old gray nanny does are the first ones to get bred. They experienced and don't mess around. Kinda like them medicare card carrying gals at Ol Top Rail in Dallas or Stagecoach Inn in Ft. Wurth.
