    Have you had any issues with the tread on the bottom wearing out fast? I've been reading reviews and that seems to be the biggest complaint.

        They're only mildly insulated (no hotter than any other snake boot I've worn) and I suspect has more to do with waterproofing (think fleece lined bootie) than warmth. In any case, I'm only wearing them as I got them at a Justin Outlet store for $86.

        Also, as another poster noted, they're great for cactus and thorn protection too.
