    Fleas!!!

I’ve had dogs for 30+ years and never had a flea one, but I’m pretty sure she has them now. I intend to mix up permethrin to treat her and her house and spray the dog run with Spectracide. Then repeat.

    Think that will work?

I use Spectracide granules and food grade diatomaceous earth around my kennels.

I had a thread on here earlier this year, not sure how to attach link. I fought them for awhile. I got next gaurd for my dogs and it works.

I would suggest to not spray your dog with a pesticide. Dogs are not people, they lick and bite themselves. I suggest getting some Nexguard from your vet. It will kill the fleas on your dog within hours and will continue to kill any that jump on as well as hatch...stopping the cycle.

I had an infestation two months ago, bombed the house with advantage flea bombs, had the yard sprayed, washed all rugs and sprayed them with a growth regulator (purchased at tractor supply) and gave the dogs the pills. So far so good.

Treat the dog w Dawn Dish Soap. It will kill the fleas. Just be careful to keep it out of its eyes. When you treat the area, make sure you mix in an IGR. (Insect Growth Regulator) The Pemethrin will kill the adult flea, but you need the IGR to kill the Larva. If you don’t use it, the eggs will keep hatching.

Where do you get the IGR?

Bravecto, Nexgard or Comfortis. These are all very effective at getting rid of fleas..
