200 yards plus with my cheap-***** NV scope. My feeder is 200 and he was on the backside of the pen. Crosshairs on top of his head, hit him in the neck. Missed one at about 175 later that night

60 yards off hand on a small doe. S&W Model 686 with 6.0 inch barrel and 2x Leupold scope. 158gr JHP. Made jelly out of its heart and lungs.

        Regards,

        Dave

About 5 feet in a trap. My best pistol shot was on a water moccasin at 25 ft with a sig p238. Hit it an inch behind the head. Pure dumb luck.

longest on a hog was about 50 yards from the truck window on a hog of about 125#.... just not the longest shot

way back in about 78 i was on the lease with my first ever pistol a h&r 22 lr/mag,,,,, there was a lone squirrel in a hickory tree,, i had to walk the rounds up the tree to him,,, hit him in the head with the last shot,( it was also the 6th total round i ever fired from a hand gun,) to the base of the tree was 115 yards.... hit a few jack rabbits out to about 125 with a 10mm colt,, most of them were first shot kills

Longest shot with a handgun on a hog, probably only 30 to 40 yards, don't remember, probably less than that. Most of the time I shot at pigs with a handgun, it was close range, to very close range. Deer, that's a different story. I have killed some deer at much longer ranges with a 30-30, T/C Contender. Many around 150 yards, one or two around 250 yards, then one around 375 yards, I did not realize it was that far out there. It did not take me long to figure out I could not judge range in the hill country for crap. After taking multiple shots way b,eyond what I should have, I got a range finder. When down south hunting flat ground, I did very well judging range, but with hills I found I do not.
