We are in Junction Texas so if that’s a Timber rattler he is a long ways from home. To be honest i have never seen one like that before. Hunted the hill country and south Texas my entire life. Yes Bisch i plan on hunting Most of the season with my longbow. Needed to make sure i removed as many pigs as possible this morning.

Never seen one like that, thought it was a timber. Thanks to all those clarifying it.

What’s odd, is that my place in Franklin county has tons of trees. Pines and Red Oak...no timber rattler sighting documented. I live close to lake Lewisville...tons of timber rattlers. Weird.

It’s only a matter of time! We didn’t have any until 5 years ago. Now they are there for good.

As you can see i did not get a complete pass thru from the Rage Trypan. I had picked up my arrow while trailing the hog. Penned the snake down with a stick and got him with the Rage.

That’s a beautiful snake! Never seen one like it or heard of a black tailed rattler.
