    What can kill Cactus?

Specifically Tasajillo aka, (Christmas cactus, Pencil cactus, Christmas cholla, Desert Christmas cactus). Napalm aside what herbicide is best for this? Do I cut and spray or simply spray and pray?

My GF can , she has been trying to grow them ,, does one hell of a job at killing them ..

i have plenty on them on the lease and when I mowed them I thought they would grow back they have not .. Maybe mow and spray std weed killer ( ie salt)

They don't grow back when I shred them with the tractor. But never shred prickly pear . . . You'll end up with a thousand more

Not sure about that cactus but I accidentally killed some prickly pear that I had growing in a pot by spraying round up too close to it. Killed it dead as a hammer..

I have always used a 3 gallon sprayer and mix in 4 oz of Tordon, 1 oz of liquid dish soap, 4 oz of diesel, then fill with water.

You need a license to buy Tordon, but if you can get it, that’s the best.

Mixing salt from the feed store. Sprinkle it on. Kills the cactus and attracts the deer...

                  ps will kill cedars too

We drove by a fire the other day and the only thing still alive was the cactus.

Tordon 22k. Best used in the fall so the herbicide moves down into the roots. Spraying cactus is a lengthy process to get good kill and see results.
