Bingo! We have instant Off/On systems that render radar detectors useless. You can't slow down fast enough when I flip the unit switch On to capture your speed. Only salvation for you folks with a detector is when a radar operator gets lazy and leaves the unit in the On position when running traffic. We aren't lazy

What keeps the waves that miss the oncoming truck in front someone with a detector from picking up the radar signal ?
