    You can back flush your hoses, but the impeller blades will collect often at the ends of where your hoses connect to whatever they connect to. The impeller debris will cause you to overheat even with a new impeller installed

      Also check to see if your raw water intake is somehow blocked or got debris in it. That can cause u to overheat.

        If u put in a new impeller and start it, you would be pumping loads of water out the sides of your block if your block was cracked. It would be extremely noticeable

            I had a 5.0 years ago and after winterizing the following spring I had to pull the top radiator hose to get the air lock out of it. It might have been the thermostat housing. To many years ago to remember.
